On the final leg of our journey, we arrived in Durban, the third largest city in South Africa, and the largest port on the continent. The beaches of Durban are some of the most beautiful in Africa and we made sure to soak up as much of the Sun as possible. Bringing in the New Year with the sand between our toes was a foreign concept to many of us, but we adapted quickly, with many of our guests pledging to spend the remaining winters of their lives in the Southern Hemisphere. Some of us were worn out, some were re-energized, and some were already planning their next trip back. From watching the fireworks display on the beach as we counted down the last seconds of 2022 to the Phezulu cultural village to the beautiful malls of Umhlanga, Durban left an impression on our hearts that will never be forgotten
